Laser chiller is an important part of laser cutting machine.After entering winter, the temperature of the laser chiller is too low, which may cause the pipeline of the laser water cooler to freeze. Because the density of ice is less than that of water, it will cause the volume expansion of the laser chiller and the cooled equipment to cause cooling water pipes to freeze. If the road is broken or deformed, it will cause major damage to the relevant core components, so Rayther Laser specially reminds you to do relevant preventive work. Ensure that the laser cooled equipment is functioning properly：
Try to ensure that the ambient temperature cannot be lower than 5 degrees Celsius to meet the normal operating conditions of the cooled equipment, so as to avoid failure or affect the performance stability of the cooled equipment.
Avoid freezing of laser chiller in low temperature environment：
1. The recommended method to prevent freezing is to keep the laser chiller and the cooled equipment in an environment with a temperature above 0 degrees Celsius.
2. If the above conditions cannot be met, please keep the equipment to be cooled and the laser chiller always on. If the water in the pipe is always flowing, it can prevent freezing. Of course, in this case, if the laser water cooler is shut down for a long time due to failure or power failure, there is also a certain risk of freezing.
3.During the Spring Festival and other holidays, if the above two points cannot be done, you can drain the water in the water tank, pipeline and internal water accumulation parts of the laser chiller as much as possible.
4.If none of the above methods can be done, for the laser chiller, you can add the antifreeze recommended by Tongfei—Dow antifreeze SR-1, and the addition ratio is 3:7 (3 is antifreeze, 7 is water) , After adding antifreeze, it can resist -20°C without freezing.
After that, you need to pay attention to:
1. If you want to add water to the laser chiller after returning from vacation, you must exhaust the water pump before starting it up, otherwise the water pump will be damaged.
2. For the laser chiller with antifreeze added, please pay attention to replace it with normal cooling water after winter. Before changing the water, please completely flush out the antifreeze in the entire water tank and pipeline, and then the water can be changed normally.
If the laserchiller and cooled equipment are not used for a long time：
In this case, it is necessary to drain the water in both water tanks and pipelines as much as possible. The specific steps are as follows: Note: Due to different models, the internal structure and parts models and quantities will be different.
1.Use the drain port to drain the water in the water tank without closing the valve;
2.Remove the external connecting pipe, and blow water with compressed air from the interface respectively (compressed air is controlled at 3~5bar), until the water no longer flows out of the drain port;
3.Open the panel to drain the water-logged parts.
4.Finally, drain the water in the cooled equipment and other water pipes outside the water cooler.
