Types Of Nitrogen Generator
Pressure swing absorption technology
We deploy two types of nitrogen generator technologies. The first of which is pressure swing adsorption technology. PSA nitrogen generators are machines that separate nitrogen gas from atmospheric air. They are used in various industries to produce nitrogen gas on-site, which can be used for a variety of purposes such as food packaging, laser cutting, and welding.
Membrane Filtration Technology
The second type of nitrogen generators are known as membrane generators. These are machines that separates nitrogen gas from the air we breathe. It does this by using a special material called a hollow porous fibre. This fibre has tiny holes in it that allow nitrogen to pass through but keep other gases like oxygen and water vapor out. So, when air is pushed into the generator, the nitrogen is separated from the other gases and collected in a tank.
Air Compression
The process starts with an air compressor that sucks in air from the surrounding environment and compresses it to a certain pressure. The pressure required is dependent on the type of generator and the level of purity required, and is usually between 5 and 10 bar for most PSA systems.
Air Pre-Treatment
The air that is to be separated is first pre-treated to eliminate any unwanted materials that may be present. This entails filtering the air to eliminate dust, particles, and oil and then using an air dryer to eliminate moisture.
Gas Separation Process
